Perkowski Engineering Group (PEG) is a family-owned engineering consulting firm located in Dover, Ohio. Michael T. Perkowski, P.E. formed a sole-proprietorship in 1994 and began offering his engineering services to the public. In 2015, he began to employ the talent and energy of his son Mike, his son Dean and Dean’s wife, Kelsey. The team enjoyed working together and formed PEG, a limited liability partnership in July 2016.
Armed with over two-decades of diverse engineering experience and fueled with youth, Perkowski Engineering Group is poised to help provide innovative solutions for their valued clients. PEG understands, appreciates and agrees with the many definitions of engineering using words like science, technology and mathematics. PEG also embraces the thought that engineering can be defined as “the action of working artfully to bring something about.” PEG strives to quietly listen to their client, thoroughly understand the problem and then work artfully to provide an innovative solution that is pleasing to all parties involved.

Mike is a Consulting Civil/Structural Engineer and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the States of Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arizona and Texas. Mike is also a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California. Mike has been a consultant since 1994 and focuses on industrial, institutional, commercial and residential buildings.
Mike specializes in reinforced concrete and structural steel construction with applications in paper mills, petrochemical facilities, fossil power facilities, nuclear power plants, medical offices, churches, manufacturing facilities, agricultural facilities and others. Mike is also familiar with masonry, light gauge steel, wood and aluminum structures.
Mike is a graduate of Dover High School in Dover, Ohio and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Mike is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. Mike’s interests include the principles of industrial ecology and how these concepts can be used improve the sustainability of human industrial and agricultural activities. Mike and his wife Maureen reside in Dover, Ohio where they raised their sons Mike and Dean.
Mike is a Chemical Engineer specializing in polymers, alternative energy and industrial research and development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with a Polymer Engineering certification from The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. While at university, Mike was nominated for awards in outstanding leadership and work ethic, winning the latter. He worked as a researcher for the University of Akron as well as a world leading foam manufacturer. Mike is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). In October of 2016, Mike received his Engineer Intern certification from The State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors of the State of Ohio.
In his free time, Mike doubles as a web application developer, game designer and outdoor enthusiast. He believes the varied skill set brings a new perspective to design work, enhancing creativity and outside-the-box thinking. Mike and his wife, Tricia, were married in April of 2015.
